About Me

Michael Bastianelli

Michael Bastianelli

In the shadows where art, memory, and digital ghosts intertwine — I create.
My name is Michael Bastianelli: a fine artist, horror storyteller, experimental musician, and architect of forgotten worlds.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art with a concentration in Photography from SUNY Purchase College, yet my creative journey refuses to be bound to a single medium.
Photography was merely the beginning — a gateway into deeper obsessions with the eerie beauty hidden beneath the everyday.

My work explores decaying dreams and haunted silences.
Through photography, horror fiction, digital music, 3D modeling, photogeometry reconstructions, and concept design, I summon places and figures that linger like half-remembered nightmares.
Each project is stitched from fragments: textures captured in forgotten alleys, whispered lyrics scribbled during sleepless nights, echoes recorded from abandoned spaces.

I am an avid game streamer on Twitch, inviting others into surreal, shadow-drenched worlds where unpredictability reigns and nothing is ever quite what it seems.

Beyond the digital and the visual, I am deeply drawn to the unseen.
I have spent years reading tarot, a practice that has become both a mirror and a map through the hidden corridors of my mind.
Currently, I am crafting my own personal tarot deck — a project that merges traditional symbolism with the strange, broken imagery that defines my art.

I also design custom shirt graphics and merchandise, breathing my surreal aesthetic into tangible forms — artifacts for those who find beauty in the fractured, the forgotten, and the strange.

Awards and honors have followed me — from MTV’s A Thin Line Challenge Grand Prize to recognition in Photographer’s Forum Magazine — but accolades were never the goal.
My true ambition has always been to create relics that seem to pulse with their own unsettling life:
photographs that breathe, songs that shudder, stories that never quite end.

If my work disturbs you, comforts you, or leaves you questioning what is real,
then I have succeeded.

Welcome to the edges of my mind.
Tread carefully.
